Tim Jirgenson - Challenge EP [THUG11]

Stepping up to the plate for Thug 11 is Sydney producer Tim Jirgenson. This 6 track E.P is a real representation of Tim's unique talent and passion in studio. It showcases his ability to engineer tracks that are subtle, deep and pumping, turn them up and find out! With previous tracks getting charted by Abe Duque and being signed to a Carl Cox compilation, its an EP definitely worth paying attention to!

 

 

Jirgenson & Zarate - The Rabbit Proof Fence [THUG10]

In 1907 a 2021 mile long fence was built through the middle of Australia. The fence runs North to South through some of the harshest terrain in the world and took over 6 years to build. The new Thug 3 tracker is a dark, long melodic journey. The original sits alongside 2 outstanding remixes that need to be heard in their entirety. Jamie Anderson's Detroit Sub mix is a euphoric late night tale while the DaSchmooze (Matt Rowan) remix shifts things up a gear with a driving no nonsense dance floor edit. This is essential progressive house.

Adam Jace - Down South remixed [THUG09]

Thug 09, not much needs to be said here, we will let the music do all the talking. Adam Jace's fundamental deep house 3 tracker "The Down South E.P" gets a working over by 3 very inform producers. Pete Dafeet, Lukas Greenberg and Nick Hogendoorn have lent their ears and their talents to remixing the original package. The outcome is a very unique collection of grooves highlighting the various directions of where house music is currently headed. An E.P of music for vastly different occasions! For Carlos its all about house and techno music. The dance floor is whats important, its a groove thing. He is a co promoter and long time resident of Sweetchilli (one of Australia's longest running and most successful underground parties) and the founder of Thug.

Tim Culbert (A&R Thug Records)
Playing a predominately tech house sound, Tim is a DJ's DJ. His talents lie in crafting well thought out sets backed with incredibly fresh tunes and a style that is truly his own. He has played alongside names such as Lee Burridge, Tiesto, Lexicon Avenue, Petter, Kriece, Steve Porter and Luke Fair. Tim is the cofounder of Thug Records.
